Dr. Drew Halliday, R.Psych.

Dr. Halliday is a registered psychologist with specialized training in clinical lifespan neuropsychology. He works with children, youth, young adults and parents for assessment, therapy and consultation services.

Dr. Halliday supports clients with a range of emotional and behavioural challenges through a client-centered, developmentally informed approach. He draws from a number of therapeutic modalities, including interpersonal, emotion-focused, cognitive-behavioural, and mindfulness-based therapies.

Dr. Halliday has extensive training in Neuropsychology, which is the study of brain-behaviour relationships. He is trained in a wide range of assessment techniques and incorporates this expertise within a bio-psycho-social framework to his assessment services.

In addition to private services, Dr. Halliday is a staff psychologist at the Queen Alexandra Centre for Children’s Health.

Dr. Halliday grew up on the West Coast of Canada and has travelled and lived abroad extensively, including previous work in Global Health in low- and middle-income countries. He deeply values the importance of diversity in the broadest sense, particularly within the practice of Psychology. Dr. Halliday is committed to creating a safe and ethical space for all clients, and to acknowledging and respecting cultural differences within these relationships.

Training

Dr. Halliday completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Neuropsychology through the University of Victoria. He completed a CPA-accredited, pre-doctoral residency at BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, BC.

Dr. Halliday has practiced in a variety of settings, including schools, private homes, inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, rehabilitation units, community mental health centres and private practices. He is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (Registrant #2645), and a member of the BC Psychological Association.
